La Escuela de Estudios Árabes (CSIC) acogerá el congreso ‘Ideologies, Attitudes and Social variables: Their role in the variation and (socio-) linguistic change in Arabic vernaculars’

La Escuela de Estudios Árabes (CSIC, Granada) acogerá el congreso “Ideologies, Attitudes and Social variables: Their role in the variation and (socio-) linguistic change in Arabic vernaculars” que tendrá lugar del 22 al 23 de junio. El evento está organizado por Montserrat Benítez Fernández (EEA, CSIC) y Ángeles Vicente (Universidad de Zaragoza) y contará con un nutrido grupo de especialistas en dialectología y sociolingüística árabes.

Se trata de una actividad realizada en el marco de los proyectos “Arabic Sociolinguistics and Linguistic Anthropology” (ILINKB20056, CSIC), Sociolectos femeninos en el mundo arabófono: especificidad y variación del Magreb al Mashreq” (PID2019-107217GB-I00, AEI), “Variación diastrática en las variedades habladas del árabe vernáculo de Marruecos” (FFI2017-87533-P, AEI/FEDER) y “Afroasiatic Languages and Linguistics: Bridging the Red See Rift” (IRN-ALL, CNRS, Nantes).

El congreso tendrá un formato semipresencial debido a las condiciones actuales de aforo. El desarrollo de las sesiones estará disponible en línea bajo inscripción. Los interesados en asistir a esta actividad deberán inscribirse enviando sus datos por correo electrónico a infoseminar.eea@gmail.com.

The Conference “Ideologies, Attitudes and Social variables: Their role in the variation and (socio-)linguistic change in Arabic vernaculars” will be held at Escuela de Estudios Árabes (CSIC, Granada) on June 22^nd and 23^rd. This event, organized by Montserrat Benítez Fernández (EEA, CSIC) and Ángeles Vicente (Universidad de Zaragoza), will feature the participation of several specialists in Arabic Dialectology and Sociolinguistics.

This scientific forum aims to present the results of different research projects  “Arabic Sociolinguistics and Linguistic Anthropology” (ILINKB20056, CSIC), Sociolectos femeninos en el mundo arabófono: especificidad y variación del Magreb al Mashreq” (PID2019-107217GB-I00, AEI), “Variación diastrática en las variedades habladas del árabe vernáculo de Marruecos” (FFI2017-87533-P, AEI/FEDER) y “Afroasiatic Languages and Linguistics: Bridging the Red See Rift” (IRN-ALL, CNRS, Nantes).
